The one news item
Meta releases Muse Spark Open weights. Meta released Muse Spark Open on Oct 15: an open-weight, natively multimodal 816B-parameter mixture-of-experts model (42B active per token) with a 1M-token context, built for coding and agent work. It's available through API platforms including OpenRouter, Together AI and Groq, with weights on Hugging Face. Why it matters: an open-weight model aimed squarely at agents gives you a self-hostable option. Running the full model locally still takes serious hardware (Meta cites two M5 Ultra Mac Studios). Fix of the day
Your vibe-coded app is stuck on localhost. Get it live in 5 steps
- Put the code on GitHub. Create a repo and push your project. Make sure .env and other secret files are in .gitignore first (see the leaked-keys fix).
- Know what kind of app you have. Only HTML/JS, or a front-end framework with no server? It's static: use Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare Pages. Does it have a server, database or Python back end? Use Railway, Render or Fly.io.
- Connect the repo to the host. Sign in to the host with GitHub, import the repo and accept the detected build settings. Most hosts auto-detect Next.js, Vite, Astro and common Python setups.
- Add environment variables in the host's dashboard. Copy each key from your local .env into the host's environment settings. The app will usually crash or show blank pages without them.
- Read the build log when it fails. Paste the first red error from the deploy log into your coding agent and ask it to fix that error only. Redeploy happens automatically on the next push.
Tool pick
Vercel: If your app is a Next.js or Vite front end, importing the GitHub repo takes a few minutes and the hobby tier is free. More options: Deploy a vibe-coded app.
